Cristiano Vitelli is a professional pizza chef, and he's one of the owners. He has been exploring going vegan since the summer of 2016. In 2017, he took part in Veganuary and decided to make a permanent shift to veganism. He told me that he couldn't be vegan, whilst cooking and serving non-vegan food, so he transformed PickyWops into a fully vegan business.Read More

What's so good about Villa Pompei in Pinner, London?
Villa Pompei is an Italian restaurant that's located in Pinner. It's spacious, and the seating areas are set up, so that large parties have a slightly separate section. Their menu is vast, but the best part of Villa Pompei, is that they don't make their food in advance. This means that they can veganise a huge amount of items on their menu, and it's not bother to them, because they were going to make it from scratch anyway!Read More
Finding satisfaction and gratitude with Zizzi
There was a time that a friend and I were in Harrogate, and both of us suddenly felt Hangry! We were amidst roadworks and scaffolding and couldn't see any restaurants near us. This was made worse by the fact that we didn't know where we were, and neither of us have a good sense of direction!
Luckily, we spotted Zizzi and had a delicious meal there. I was so impressed by the sorbet being so deliciously different; I ordered it twice!

FED By Water goes vegan!
FED By Water's menu used to include non-vegan food and drink. The restaurant went vegan in July 2016. The risk has paid off! They are often busy, so it's definitely worth booking. The two times that I've been there, I witnessed them having to turn people away, because they hadn't booked and all the tables were full.

A number of months ago, I met someone who is known as Olive on Twitter. She is assertive, kind, compassionate and honest. She also loves cooking and isn't scared to try out new recipes using uncommon ingredients.
Olive follows a vegan lifestyle and likes to give restaurants and pubs the opportunity to blossom, while they concoct vegan dishes for her and her hubby (Popeye) to enjoy. It is this last point, which made me reach out to her.
Olive and Popeye have been eating out in Manchester a fair bit, and I wanted to share their experiences with you.Read More
Do you go out and ever feel the need to grab a bite to eat?
What do you do when you decide you fancy eating something but you're too far from home to go back, or you haven't finished what you're doing, so you can't go home yet?
Would you make do with a bag of crisps or some other type of snack? Would you ignore your hunger and keep going? Do you keep a snack with you and eat that? Do you get into a bit of a state and need to find somewhere that you can eat something substantial?
Do you end up eating things that won't agree with you, because you're intolerant to them? Might you eat something that goes against your ethics, because you think you won't find anything vegan?Read More
