Plant Shift

Following a plant-based or vegan lifestyle, is about food, drink, clothes, shoes, body treatments, hair products and more. 

It's a conscious decision to think, walk and possibly, talk a better lifestyle. 

I support individuals who are thinking about making the shift, as well as, those who have already begun their plant-based journey.

Heena is one of the most passionate vegans I’ve met -- her enthusiasm for animals, delicious vegan food, and a compassionate lifestyle is contagious and inspiring. She's also a great person who won't fail to make you smile, and spending time with her is always a treat.
Heena coached me in 2012 and helped my wife and I to go fully vegan (I was still eating some cheese at the time). We have loved every minute since making that decision, and have her to thank.

Getting support to go vegan or stay vegan

What you have going on already, personality traits and the mind set of those closest to you; may mean that you need some support to make the shift. I can help you do that through individual coaching.

Coaching involves the following:-

  1. weekly coaching sessions, tailor-made for you 
  2. 45 minute sessions using Skype, Google+ hangout or a telephone 
  3. together, we will gain clarity about your motivations for making the shift
  4. we will work out what the stumbling blocks or obstacles are 
  5. we will work together to overcome those blocks
  6. you will receive unlimited email support in between coaching sessions
  7. I will share resources to minimise or nullify any challenges, confusion or doubts 
 
Having been a vegetarian for a number of years, the observation of compassion is not new to Heena. A number of years ago, she realised the suffering to living beings imposed by the dairy industry and she became a vegan. As is her way, she very diligently investigated the various ingredients in items she consumes, whether as food or otherwise. She both put that information to use in her personal life and also widely disseminated that information to those who might find it useful.
I have been the recipient over the years of a number of communications from her, providing insight and practically useful information on plant-based living. I am sure her traits of thorough investigation and keen interest in communication will combine with her helpful nature and compassion to help many people in her new enterprise, Plant Shift.

I was a vegetarian for two years before becoming vegan. It is because of Heena and her passion for leading a vegan lifestyle that motivated me to make the transition. She has had a positive effect on me and has provided me with incredible resources to educate myself and be committed to being vegan.
I am very pleased with my progress. I have not felt like I am missing out on the foods I used to eat or the clothes or shoes I would have bought had I not made the change.
The one major difference for me is the compassion I now feel for animals. I can no longer turn a blind eye to their suffering. I feel that this is definitely a positive change and one of the best decisions I've made.
The one concern I have (and probably will continue to face) is that I am not quite able to help others entirely understand my decision / lifestyle. Heena suggested that I arm myself with key phrases about veganism and why I chose to be vegan. This has helped me get me through difficult situations.

Being a staunch vegetarian for the last 22 years I thought the transition to becoming a vegan and living a plant based lifestyle would be relatively easy. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I found that I was riddled with emotional challenges and set habits. However strongly I felt towards animal cruelty and knowing the multitude of health benefits cutting dairy out of my diet would be, I still found many excuses for not taking the final step to being a vegan.
The excuses I had were many, from finding non leather shoes that didn't make me look like a hippie at a flower festival to finding an alternative to my toughest emotional habit... Anchor butter!
Heena’s wealth of knowledge and her passion for sharing her ample wisdom on plant based living eroded all my excuses one by one.
I am extremely grateful to have Heena’s knowledge and compassion on my journey to veganism. I know that without her guidance I would still sadly be struggling to make that decision for many years to come.
I am recommending Heena to all my enlightened friends and family who are making the transition and would highly suggest anyone making the decision to lead a plant based lifestyle to get Heena on their side. You'll be grateful you did!
