Dining out: The Warehouse Café in Birmingham
How a family gathering in Dudley led to an enriching experience the day before the event
My Mum, my hubby (Suraj) and I were due to attend a family get-together in Dudley. A few weeks before the event, Suraj remembered that I'd been itching to go to a shop called 100% Vegan. This shop is in Birmingham, which isn't too far away from Dudley. We were going to go to Dudley the day before the event, but thanks to Suraj; we left a little earlier to make sure that there was time to check out this vegan store.
So where does The Warehouse Café fit in to all this? Well...Suraj did a bit of research about where we could have dinner that evening and he found out about the Warehouse Café. It's vegetarian and they serve lots of vegan options.
This was a great beginning. Dinner was organised and booked and I knew it would be gratefully received after the drive up from London.
The confidence that the staff from The Warehouse Café gave us when we booked our table
Suraj called The Warehouse Café and made a booking. He explained that we would be going for vegan options and that Mum didn't eat potatoes, onions or garlic. They told him that we would be catered for, and said that we need not worry.
Was it alright on the night? Was our dining experience at Warehouse Café any good?
First of all, it was great that we had booked a table, because they got extremely busy as the night went on. Some people arrived without booking beforehand and had to wait over 30 minutes before being seated.
After we sat down, the owner came over and talked us through the vegan options, as well as, the dishes that were suitable for Mum. They had adjusted some of their menu items, so that Mum had a few to choose from. Isn't that lovely?
They were attentive, on the ball, humble, kind and more.
We had a lovely experience.
I couldn't fault them at all!
