Karamel: vegan restaurant, bar and music venue
I've heard a lot about Karamel since it's opened. Earlier this year, an opportunity came up for us to go there with a couple of friends. I'd been meaning to go for ages, so I was pretty excited about finally being able to check it out!

The Karamel experience
A few of us went to Karamel one Sunday, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The portions were generous and the meals were served as they were made, to ensure we all got hot, fresh meals.
The venue is casual, relaxed and cosy. It's the type of place you can take (and play) a board game while you wait for your meal. I know, because that's what we did!
Below, you'll see some of what we ordered. One of the meals we ordered was their famous Sunday Roast. Our friends devoured it!
Some FAQs about being vegan
"Is it hard to eat out when you're vegan?"
With more vegan restaurants, cafes and pubs opening, and, non-vegan places introducing vegan options; eating out is even easier than it was before!
Here's an article about places that have vegan options across different parts of London
"Is it difficult to plan a holiday and stay vegan whilst you're away?"
We've been away a number of times since shifting to a vegan diet. That journey began nearly 10 years ago, and we've not struggled once! For one trip, we thought we might have some difficulties but we got there and realised we had thought wrong! We didn't have any trouble at all.
I've written about some of our trips here
The only reason some of them are missing is because I wasn't writing very much then. Therefore, I didn't take photos of what we ordered or make a note of where we ate etc.
