How am I qualified to consult business owners?
These are some of the things that equip me to consult vegan business owners.
I went dairy-free in early 2008, then adopted a plant-based diet and soon after embraced a vegan lifestyle
Since 2012, I have been serving the ‘vegan’ community by writing articles on my website, vegan coaching, speaking at events, interviewing and showcasing vegan businesses and more *
I have an understanding of the varying needs of ‘vegans’ *
the needs of ‘vegans’ may differ or be influenced by their race, culture, faith, location, age, health conditions, motivations, understanding of the community and so on
I have spoken about the plant-based diet and vegan living in person and at online events
supporting businesses with labelling and menus
I have a background as a teacher and this helps for a few reasons
both roles involve respecting those who we’re supporting
we can’t help but focus on the individual and that motivates us to fine-tune strategies and approaches that will be more specific to the client’s aims, rather than, using a ‘one size fits many’ approach
teachers and coaches are aware that we are learning and developing all the time, which supports us in being open-minded and humble whilst having a growth mindset
a growth mindset refers to the belief that everyone is capable of change no matter how ingrained our habits and learned behaviour may seem
I created my own website from scratch and thought about how to make it user-friendly
I’ve been coaching since 2012
* I used inverted commas because, in these scenarios, the term vegans may actually refer to a plant-based diet or vegan living and the understanding of that will influence the conversation and everything that stems from it.
