Going vegan for health! A raw vegan diet resulted in Karen being free of Cancer!
What would you do to improve you health and quality of life?
We all have desires and our motivation, drive and willingness to meet those wants will vary. In the same way, there are a variety of reasons that encourage individuals to make the shift to a vegan diet.
Some people don't mind feeling unwell or they aren't motivated enough to put things in place to feel healthier. Would this change if you were diagnosed with a disease like Cancer?
Karen's story begins with the FIRST time, that she was diagnosed with Cancer
When Karen was 44 years old she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Please keep in mind that she's only 46 years old now, so this is a very recent example of how things can be turned around!
The lump was removed and she thought she was through the worst of it.
The SECOND diagnosis was that the Cancer had spread
Karen was told the cancer had spread further into her breast and that she would need a mastectomy.
Karen received a THIRD diagnosis after the Mastectomy
After further investigation, Karen was told that the cancer had spread even further. It was now in her rib cage. She was told that, after recovering from the mastectomy, she would need to go back into hospital and have the top two ribs taken. This would hopefully, remove the cancer.
What changed whilst Karen was recovering?
In the 6 weeks that she was recovering, Karen and her daughter did lots of research about alternative ways to rid her body of Cancer.
They came across things like, The China Study, , and Forks Over Knives. That was it! Karen's mind was made up! As she was in recovery, and not really able to eat, she went on a 6 week organic juice fast. She had up to 8 juices each day and she took 6 x 100g vitamin C capsules each day.
Karen's body was scanned and all the Cancer had GONE!
Karen returned to the hospital and various scans. She was given the all clear! The Cancer was no longer in her rib cage or anywhere else. The surgeon was baffled and the McMillan nurse was shocked.
Karen was now a full believer in the raw vegan lifestyle.
Was it easy to make the shift to a raw vegan diet?
In Karen's own words.
My transition to being raw vegan was easy really.
I can imagine that if I didn't have cancer, it may have been harder, but wanting to get rid of the disease spurred me on until it felt like second nature.
I am now 2 years cancer free.
I am now longer fully raw, but I have a varied raw vegan diet. I still juice every day but also eat a diet rich in plant foods.
