Cupcakes and Shhht
When Cupcakes and Shhht were based in Elephant and Castle, Suraj got some desserts to-go. I especially couldn’t wait to try more of their croissants but unfortunately, it hasn’t happened yet.
I found it positively difficult to go in their cafe. Why? They’re fully vegan and the cafe was packed with so many treats, it was hard to make a decision. If I had my way, I would have got several things to take home but we were on our way out and wouldn’t have been able to take much with us.
Anyway, this is what we’ve tried so far.
Location
The store in Elephant and Castle was small, cosy and very full of vegan desserts. Here, they served desserts, coffee and brunch throughout the day. They also catered at events, and specialised in wedding cakes.
They’ve since moved to Hackney and they now have three parts to their business. These are:-
WILD which specialises in wedding and bespoke celebration cakes
LUNA through which they cater at events and host workshops
WAVE, their cafe, where you can eat in or buy things to-go
