Authentic Italian and vegan? Oh yes!
Update May 2019: FED By Water has closed permanently
FED By Water goes vegan!
FED By Water's menu used to include non-vegan food and drink. The restaurant went vegan in July 2016. The risk has paid off! They are often busy, so it's definitely worth booking. The two times that I've been there, I witnessed them have to turn many people away, because they hadn't booked and all the tables were full.
The restaurant is in East London and it's less than 2 minutes away (on foot) from Dalston Kingsland station.
FED describes themselves as being a brand new concept restaurant offering authentic, traditional Italian cuisine with the objective of bringing the nutritional importance of pure water to the public conscience.
Eating at FED By Water
The first time I went to FED was with a friend. I was so excited by their menu, and wanted to try so much of it, that I let her decide what we should get. I usually don't do that, but everything sounded so appealing, I didn't think we could go wrong!
The entire meal was delicious, the service was just right and I we were both talking about when we'd be back, before we'd left! I don't often spend as much as I did on the meal, but I didn't mind, because it was so so tasty!
I came back with my hubby, Suraj. It was a treat for his birthday. He loves Lasagne so I knew that he'd pick that for his main. We made sure we saved some space for dessert, and neither of us were disappointed. Funnily enough, even Suraj was talking about what he would order when we visited again. That's my usual, but to hear him planning his next meal there was surprising and really encouraging to hear.
Here's what we've enjoyed between the two visits.
This is another example of us eating out, having lots of choice, feeling content, enjoying an indulgent and nutritious meal, and once again, I home feeling that I Love Living Vegan.
