Meet Paul and Dario who have created Give Kitchen through which they feed their customers and the homeless too!
Update July 2016: GIVE Kitchen has closed permanently.
I want to tell you about Paul Hampson and Dario Curcillo. At a time when many people struggle to find the time to think about, let alone cook, balanced and nutritious meals, they created GIVE Kitchen to deliver fresh, delicious and healthy food to their customers. Their wisdom doesn't stop there! The rise in poverty and homelessness is something that they couldn't ignore, so for every meal purchased, they 'give' a meal to the homeless. Isn't that amazing? Keep reading to find out more about this delightful business.
What sets GIVE Kitchen apart from other food delivery services?
GIVE Kitchen’s food is 100% plant based wholefood, made with love by our experienced and soulful chefs. What really sets us apart is our charitable One for One giving policy whereby, for each purchase made, we give a meal back to a homeless shelter in the UK.
Where is GIVE Kitchen based?
You’ll find us at Unit 5, Glacier Buildings, Harrington Road, Brunswick Dock, Liverpool, L3 4BH. We’re just a short 5 minute drive from Liverpool City Centre and based in a quirky industrial Unit backing on to Liverpool’s glorious water front. The great benefit about being located here is that we can offer our diners ample, free parking, right outside the restaurant, which is hard to come by in the City Centre!
How far does GIVE Kitchen deliver?
We deliver direct to the door, whether it be your home or office right across the UK.
What inspired you to create a business that focuses on delivering pre-prepared vegan food?
Our passionate Co-Founders Paul and Dario wanted to bridge the gap in the market and meet the increasing yet unfulfilled demand for easily accessible and available nutritious, plant based, wholefood. GIVE Kitchen’s online vegan delivery service, Inspiration Centre, Eatery and Shop all make up part of the GIVE2040 Foundation; GIVE’s registered charity, which strives to eradicate hunger, poverty and disease by 2040 by ‘giving’ fresh, nutritious and healthy meals to the homeless and hungry in the UK and overseas.
How easy is it for you to source cruelty free ingredients for your meals?
We take choosing our suppliers very seriously and spend months sourcing the best and most ethical ingredients from local suppliers that we know we can trust.
For someone who hasn't ordered from you before, can you tell them how to go about placing an order?
If anyone would like to experience the amazing flavours and health benefits of GIVE Kitchen’s plant based, whole food meals, they can simply visit www.givekitchen.com and choose from an 8, 22 or 30 Day package or create their own box with a selection of their chosen meals. Alternatively then can visit our Inspiration Centre, Eatery and Shop in Liverpool, open Monday to Sunday 10am to 9pm.
Is GIVE Kitchen owned by, or in partnership with, another company that tests on animals or sells non-vegan products?
Absolutely not.
Tell me a bit about yourself before you launched GIVE Kitchen?
GIVE Kitchen’s team are made up of passionate, vegan individuals all striving towards creating a cleaner, greener, more caring and compassionate planet now, and for future generations. Prior to GIVE we worked in mixed sectors including PR and marketing, customer service roles, restaurants and legal.
What is your vision for the future of GIVE Kitchen?
Our aim is to open more Inspiration Centres, Eateries and Shops all over the UK and beyond! And of course to continue to give back as much as we possibly can, to those who really need it.
