Go Max Go
I tried some of Go Max Go's candy recently. They are super yummy! So I wanted you to have them on your radar.
Are you wondering why there's a photo of three dogs? Well, they are their inspiration! They're all rescues and they remind them of the fact that all animals deserve respect and that living vegan furthers that agenda. Isn't that great?
What does Go Max Go specialise in selling?
The best vegan candy bars...ever :)
Where are you based?
We're based in Santa Fe in New Mexico.
Do you exclusively serve those who are local to you or can others who are further away access your products too? If so, how?
Our products are found in many countries (US, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia etc) through retail outlets and online stores. We have a store locator map on our website.
What inspired you to create a business that solely focuses on plant-based candy bars?
We have been vegan for years and when we started Go Max Go there were no vegan candy bars that met our needs. We wanted familiar flavours, minus cruelty (dairy) and we didn't want any junk like hydrogenated oils and artificial flavourings.
How easy is it for you to source cruelty free ingredients for your products?
With a little research it's been very easy to source ingredients that are ethically produced as well as non GM.
Do these ingredients effect the outcome in comparison with non plant-based candy bars?
We think our candy bars taste better than those that contain animal by-products. We pretty much believe anything can be veganised without sacrificing a thing.
For someone who hasn't tasted your bars before & is indecisive about what to buy; is there a particularly popular one you can name?
They're all pretty popular but the Jokerz is number one. Lot's of people like the combo of peanuts, nougat, caramel and chocolate.
Are you owned by, or in partnership with, another company that does test on animals or sell non-vegan products?
Scott & I are the sole owners of Go Max Go Foods, no partners or involvement with any other company & we only do vegan!!
Tell me a bit about yourself before you launched Go Max Go
My partner, Scott and myself are both vegan and have been for 17 & 18 years respectively. We both went vegan for the animals and never looked back. Both of us liked the idea of having our own business so forming Go Max Go seemed like a natural union between our personal lifestyle and our professional goals.
What is your vision for the future of Go Max Go?
We're very in the moment with the company but our vision hasn't changed from day one. We've always wanted to use Go Max Go as a foundation to support groups that work very hard to bring awareness to issues that we care about i.e. animal rights and living veggie would be the top two issues!
