Krispy Kreme: new additions
New additions during Veganuary
It’s been a few months now. Nevertheless, I thought it was worth sharing a few observations!
in January 2021 and 2022, Krispy Kreme introduced new vegan options. This happened to, or intentionally, happened to be when lots more people were talking about vegan options because it was January which is when Veganuary strives to raise awareness about veganism and encourage people to try going plant-based.
these new offerings were available in stores for a a few weeks, after which they were only available when placing an order online
in 2022 I noticed that Sainsbury’s were selling selection boxes of vegan doughnuts
What did I think of the new options in 2022?
I was surprised by my choices!
It was a tie between the Caramel Iced Rings and the Apple Crumble Custard. I wasn’t keen on the Fudge Brownie Bliss.
August 2022: new additions to the vegan range
Viva!'s Vegan Recipe Club found them and shared a video on Twitter. You can see that below. :)

I’d love to hear from you.
Which vegan doughnuts have you tried?
Where did you get them from?
Which flavour was your favourite?
“Dr Shireen Kassam, who founded the Plant Based Health Professionals network, says diet-related illnesses are at an all-time high and going vegan could save the cash-strapped NHS billions.
She pointed to a recent Taiwanese study which found vegetarians have a lower rate of outpatient visits to the doctor because of their healthier diets, which tend to be high in fruit, veg and wholegrains.
This translated into a 15% lower total medical expenditure per person compared with people who eat meat, particularly for chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, heart disease and depression.”
