Delicious looking and tasting vegan options at The White Bear
The White Bear is a gorgeous pub in Ruislip. They describe themselves as offering a unique combination of traditional pub and a French brasserie… with an English twist.
Vegan options at the White Bear in Ruislip
I was delighted to see that their main menu clearly shows which options are vegan and there was a good choice of them too! They also have allergen information on their website. This is what’s on their site at the moment.
This is what we ordered when during our first time at The White Bear
Spiced Thai Samosas: homemade pastries filled with spicy winter vegetables, soy citrus dipping sauce & coconut cashew cream
Winter Vegetable Fritter, pumpkin and apple chutney, spiced pumpkin puree, kale crisp
Harissa-glazed aubergine with butternut squash, baba-ganoush, pine nuts, pomegranate seeds & flatbread
Penne pasta with courgetti, baby spinach, basil, walnut and garlic pesto, toasted walnut garnish
The food was delicious, the surroundings were nice and the atmosphere was informal and lively. I’d definitely go back.

Moroccan mezze platter: harissa aubergine, globe artichoke, falafel with coconut cashew cream, houmous selection, pomegranate seeds, cherry tomato salad & flatbread
Sweetcorn & potato fritter, smoked paprika, avocado salad, summer coleslaw & chipotle mayonnaise
