love ♥ living ♥ vegan
Following a plant-based or vegan lifestyle, is about food, drink, clothes, shoes, body treatments, hair products and more.
It's a conscious decision to think, walk and possibly, talk a better lifestyle.
I support individuals who are thinking about making the shift, as well as, those who have already begun their plant-based journey.

It was our 5th wedding anniversary on the weekend and we wanted one of the celebratory events to include dressing up and going out for a 'posh' dinner.
The evening was great!
Read MoreI experimented with different vegan cheeses now and then, but I was fine without it, so it was easier to not bother.
This laziness was caused by the fact that I'd have to go to a health food shop to buy some and that I'd have to remember which ones I tried and note down what I thought of them. Why? In the past, we bought some cheeses and forgot which ones we liked and which we didn't! So...to avoid making the same error, it was worth jotting down what we bought and our thoughts on it!

We visited Marrakech without the expectation that we would be fed hugely 'well.' Now this word itself is problematic because we definitely wouldn't starve and I'm sure there'd be something that we could eat. So...we weren't sure if we'd be able to indulge on various foods and drinks!
St. Lucia
Suraj and I got married in December 2008, after which, we went to St. Lucia.
We had been following a vegan diet for a few months but it was our first time away outside of England.
We knew we'd be able something but we didn't know how well; so we took some savoury snacks with us. Our emergency food, if you like! We ended up having to force ourselves eat it to avoid wasting it! We got fed SO well, we didn't need any snacks at all!

In October 2012, Suraj and I went to San Francisco. We were amazed to find that there was an abundance of vegan food! Not the 'regular' kind which most places manage to source/make BUT a few things that we've not eaten since we began following a vegan diet. It was so exciting!
We had our first doughnut after following a plant-based diet almost 5 years ago. They were ALL vegan so we got one of each and shared them between 8 of us ! :)
Read MoreI had travelled around Europe a few years back. One of those tours where you visit different cities over two weeks. Well...we stopped over at Salzburg for only an hour or so and I've wanted to go back ever since!
The little part I saw was beautiful, clean, scenic, green and just so inviting.
So Suraj and I booked a trip there.

We drove to Stamford, which was near where we were staying and we spotted this gorgeous Cafe which overlooked the river.
We went in and were impressed with the variety of vegetarian options on the menu. We asked the waitress if there was anything that could be 'made' vegan and she said she'd ask the Chef.

Read MoreI heard about this amazing book via a Yahoo group called Jain Vegans. It's amazing!
It's called the Vegan Passport.
It's a great pocket sized book that's great to travel with.
It explains what vegans will/won't eat in 73 languages.
It's simple, to the point and extremely clear.
Definitely worth buying! :)

Suraj (my hubby) and I went to Grantham for the weekend and I was surprised to find a Cafe which specifically includes vegan options on their menu and they publicise it! :) Suraj did some research and found out about Cafe Leo. This cafe is in Grantham, which is part of Lincolnshire. (UK)
