Read MoreCafe Van Gogh in South West London
Cafe Van Gogh is a quaint vegan, non-profit restaurant that's based in Brixton, South London. The staff are friendly and generous, and the customers that filled the cafe when I visited were a mixed crowd. The one thing that they appeared to have in common is, their apparent intention to enjoy a meal, socialise, be considerate of those around them, and express gratitude. There was a lovely atmosphere in Cafe Van Gogh and it had a cosy, friendly feel to it.
Find out more about why I enjoyed our meal there so much.

I have loved going to Camden for some time now. It's funky, multicultural, vibrant, and has loads of places where vegans can enjoy different types of food.
VBurger joined Camden Market in July 2017. I'd heard lots about it, before and after they opened, and then finally got to enjoy one of their burgers a few days after they had launched their business. Find out what I thought of VBurger.
Read MoreWhy did my first visit to Daal Roti, in Stanmore, make me so enthused?
Daal Roti's menu was vast when we popped in for the time in April 2017. The restaurant is pure vegetarian (no eggs), and the menu included many options that could be veganised, or were vegan by accident. Suraj and I chose a couple of items that we wanted, we had a backup plan in mind, in case they weren't/couldn't be made vegan, and we asked the waitress about them.
Ordering was easy. The waitress understood what vegan meant, and she had a good idea about what the dishes contained, so it didn't take long to place our order. It was just as well because I was hangry really needed to eat soon!
So what got me so enthused about Daal Roti?
Read MoreI've heard a lot about Karamel since it's opened. Earlier this year, an opportunity came up for us to go there with a couple of friends. I'd been meaning to go for ages, so I was pretty excited about finally being able to check it out!

Read More"Vegan food is boring, and isn't satisfying!!!"
I've had a couple of people share their assumption that vegans have little choice, and therefore, the food must be boring, because of all the things we won't eat. Generally, they have been people who haven't been exposed to vegetarian food, and don't know about the abundance of choices vegetarians have. Veganism, in this day and age, isn't hard at all, and most vegetarian foods can be veganised without breaking a sweat. This doesn't mean cutting ingredients out and accepting what's left; it means using alternatives and having a full meal that leaves you feeling content at the minimum and spoilt at best.
So there is lots of choice, and food isn't boring. What about eating out?
Read MoreWhat's so good about Villa Pompei in Pinner, London?
Villa Pompei is an Italian restaurant that's located in Pinner. It's spacious, and the seating areas are set up, so that large parties have a slightly separate section. Their menu is vast, but the best part of Villa Pompei, is that they don't make their food in advance. This means that they can veganise a huge amount of items on their menu, and it's not bother to them, because they were going to make it from scratch anyway!

I've written about how easy it is to eat out on many occasions, and the reviews have always expressed a feeling of positivity, satisfaction, indulgence, and gratitude. However, this review is the first time that I'm writing about a place that I wouldn't recommend.

Read MoreVegan Hippo is back and it's even better than before!
I went to Vegan Hippo soon after it first opened. I can't recall the savoury options that I ate, but the dessert was firmly embedded in my mind! It was the chocolate cheesecake. This dessert had a lovely texture, it wasn't too rich, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. Delicious!
I was gutted when I found out that Vegan Hippo had closed. There were all sorts of rumours floating around, so I wasn't sure if they'd be back. But then, I found out that they were re-opening and I couldn't wait to return! Saying that, I was also dreading that they wouldn't have the cake that I loved so much!
Find out if I enjoyed what I ordered...
