Italian and gluten free
I heard good things about La Polenteria and was keen to check it out. I was so glad we went. At the point of ordering, I hadn't realised that it was completely gluten free. I loved the way the taste, texture and presentation of the food! Being gluten free didn't take anything away from it at all.

A vegetarian pub in London?
I found out about the Coach and Horses being 100% vegetarian and couldn't wait to check it out! I later found out that they have vegan options, which made me even more excited!
I was a bit dubious about what the food would be like. Would it only include burgers? Would there be dessert? Would there be lots of vegans options?
Keep reading to find out what I thought about my vegan lunch there.

Is it worth asking if a restaurant has any vegan options when their menu doesn't show any signs that they do?
Suraj (my hubby) came across a new restaurant (La Tana) on our local High Street. He liked the look of it and once he knew that it was a family run business, he knew I'd want to support it, so he decided to go in and enquire about vegan options.
Find out about the amazing unexpected change that came about because of this conversation.

Hotels that cater for vegans
More often than not, I've stayed in a hotel whilst I'm on holiday. I like exploring and walking when I'm away, so when booking a hotel, I would think more about location and comfort, than food. This is because I would be hoping to eat while I'm out and about.
Within England, I've recently used hotels as a way of avoiding driving a long distance and then drive back again within a few hours. In these cases, I've usually booked hotels where breakfast is an extra option, and then had brunch before leaving to return home.
Find out how I felt about staying at the West Park Hotel for 5 days.

Astonish have a huge range of products, and all of them are kind to the environment, yet strong enough to make cleaning easy! You can read an interview with Nick from Astonish here.
This article features reviews of various cleaning products. The reviews have been written by Janet Higgins, Stella Goddard and Evelyn Smith.
I put this article together because I wanted to share what others think of Astonish products. I love them, because they're vegan, they're transparent about being against animal testing and are clear that animal products don't need to be used to make cleaning easy or effective.
Read on to find out what Janet, Stella and Evelyn think of the products they've used so far.

A gorgeous place that's hidden away
A friend took me to the Attico Centre recently. It's in Watford and is absolutely gorgeous!
The layout ensures that customers can walk around and look at the paintings and sculptures that are for sale. It also means that there aren't lots of tables squashed together and it's actually really peaceful.

Harrogate in North Yorkshire
A friend and I took a train from London to Harrogate earlier this year and although I'd not really heard of the place before, I was quite excited! Why? You guess it....food!
We did some research and found out that there were a number of places that are open about the fact that they cater for vegans. So we had lots of choices, which included a variety of cuisines and a lot of the restaurants and cafes were small business, as opposed to chains, so we'd be supporting them too!
Read on to find out how we experienced eating vegan in Harrogate.

Can you really get vegan options everywhere?
If you think that vegan options are only available in central London...what can I say? Actually...I won't say anything to reply to that directly, but keep reading and the answer to whether it's fact or fiction will become obvious.

Do mainstream restaurants cater for vegans or do vegans need to go to special places when they want to eat out?
I used to think that mainstream places wouldn't cater for vegans and that I'd have to go to a vegetarian place, because they'd be more likely to have vegan options or they'd find it easy to veganise what they have on the menu.
I was so wrong!

A number of months ago, I met someone who is known as Olive on Twitter. She is assertive, kind, compassionate and honest. She also loves cooking and isn't scared to try out new recipes using uncommon ingredients.
Olive follows a vegan lifestyle and likes to give restaurants and pubs the opportunity to blossom, while they concoct vegan dishes for her and her hubby (Popeye) to enjoy. It is this last point, which made me reach out to her.
Olive and Popeye have been eating out in Manchester a fair bit, and I wanted to share their experiences with you.
