Why you should pay a visit to The Green Kitchen in St. Albans
Why I think you should grab a bite at The Green Kitchen
The Green Kitchen is a quaint little cafe in St. Albans. The staff are lovely and you can tell that they see it as ‘theirs’ rather than seeing it as a place of work. Other things I like about it are:-
the food is lovely
the salted caramel tart is so SO good
it’s an independent vegan business
they don’t use a microwave
the food is freshly cooked
they are happy to adjust dishes to suit our personal preferences/requirements
they care about the local and wider community, so they’re conscious of, and try to prevent, wastage of any sort
they sell vegan products, such as, various chocolate bars, cheeses, spreads and so on
Bits and bobs about the venue and the products they use
there are 24 seats
they have 2 high chairs
they welcome dogs
if their resident cat makes an appearance, you’ll see that he’s gorgeous
they have a toilet and a baby changing mat
items, such as, hand soap and cleaning other products are eco-friendly and haven’t been tested on animals
This is some of what we enjoyed when we first visited Green Kitchen
Our most recent visit was in March 2019 and what a treat!
We sat by the window and played a game as we waited for our food, whilst basking in the sun. Both times that we’ve visited, there was a nice, relaxing and warm vibe about the place.
Do share your experience after you visit The Green Kitchen
