Our local
The Hare is our local pub. Here’s why I like it.
it’s cosy
there’s a large outside area
customers can sit at the bar, enjoy a bite at a table near the bar or go in the restaurant
their food is great
they have lots of vegan options
it’s a nice place to hang out
Recent visits
The last few times I’ve been, I’ve ordered and enjoyed the following:
Moroccan vegetable tagine - harissa aubergine, roast butternut squash, peppers, olives, harissa lemon dressing with pistachio & almond couscous
Grilled cauliflower steak with parsley & walnut pesto - herb & nut breadcrumb, sweet potato fries
Wild mushroom fricassee - truffled arancini
Beetroot terrine - horseradish cream, marinated beetroot & watercress salad
They have a vegan crumble but I don’t like tangy desserts so I made my own affogato, which was very nice!
A new addition to the menu
I am chuffed that The Hare has this new vegan option.
I only remember there being some sort of crumble on the menu and that's not really my cup of tea. However this…this is right up my street!
The White Brasserie Company
The Hare is part of The White Brasserie Company. I’ve been to a couple of their pubs and I really like them. They have a unique feel and set up to them and I’ve always enjoyed what I’ve ordered.
