People talk about making all sorts of things, but I've not heard many people talk about making tofu. After interviewing Marco, I'm left wondering why! It seems pretty straightforward, the process leaves the maker with a bonus byproduct, it's much cheaper than buying it, and it retains a flavour, which is lost with the mass produced stuff! Or have I got it all wrong and am I just unaware of the many who make their own tofu?
I have 2 questions for you.
1.) If you make your own tofu, how do you make it?
2.) If you haven't before, would you want to give it a go and make some at home?

A number of months ago, I met someone who is known as Olive on Twitter. She is assertive, kind, compassionate and honest. She also loves cooking and isn't scared to try out new recipes using uncommon ingredients.
Olive follows a vegan lifestyle and likes to give restaurants and pubs the opportunity to blossom, while they concoct vegan dishes for her and her hubby (Popeye) to enjoy. It is this last point, which made me reach out to her.
Olive and Popeye have been eating out in Manchester a fair bit, and I wanted to share their experiences with you.

What's so good about visiting Brighton
I've been to Brighton a few times now and I see it as a vegan paradise! Why? The cafés and restaurants are simply amazing. The staff understand what vegans will and won't eat and there's a variety of vegan snacks, meals and desserts on the menu. Here's some of the other things I liked about Brighton:-
- walks along the coast are beautiful
- it's easily accessibly by train and car
- the area is full of people from all walks of life

Meeting up for a drink after yoga
I had gone to my weekly yoga class and was ready to go home when I got a call from my hubby, Suraj. He said he was in Pinner and wanted us to meet there before going home. He had finished work late and wanted to grab a bite to eat. I told him I wasn't hungry but was happy to join him for a drink and keep him company.
I was surprised by what Carluccio's had on the menu for vegans and that soon made me change my mind about what I was going to order!

I met Claire at VegfestUK. It was so cool to hear how she goes out of her way to ensure that there's no cross contamination, so all her chocolates are 100% vegan! Isn't that amazing? She describes how she gets blocks of chocolate, rather than, already broken pieces, to ensure that they're completely free of any non-vegan entities. Isn't that cool?
I couldn't wait to feature this interview with Claire. So over to Claire who will tell you all about Considerit and more!

How do non-vegan friends manage when they want to invite vegans over for a meal?
Friends and family often show love through food. It's often a time to sit, socialise, give the body what it needs, and possibly go a bit further, and indulge, with those you care about!
I've heard and seen people get stressed and anxious over cooking a vegan meal, before the 'guests' have been asked, or date has been set. This fear and insecurity is often pre-everything, and I've seen it go either way. The host might find someone to talk it through with, after which they usually realise that they can make something without difficulty. Alternatively, they may not entertain the thought any further and decide to avoid cooking at home and meet everyone in a restaurant, or simply not go ahead with the food part of the meet-up.

Interviewing vegan businesses
I've been interviewing vegan businesses for a while now. It started off by creating articles in which I invited the business to share some of the following information:-
- raise awareness about what they sell,
- discuss what made them create the business,
- share what their goals are
- how customers can buy their products
- express if their product is affected by the use of vegan 'ingredients'
However, more recently, I've ventured into the world of video. I have started recording short interviews with vegan businesses, through which they share what's new and show how they've grown since they began their journey.
Read on to find out about my journey to a vegan lifestyle.

Grabbing a bite and a movie in Uxbridge
Suraj (my hubby) and I went out to watch a movie one night. We decided to have a stroll and see which restaurants were nearby, so we could decide where to have our dinner, when we saw Chiquito. This was a bit of a shock because it wasn't there before! It was the night before they were due to open, so we thought we'd go in and see what their vegan options were.
