Many people firmly believe that shopping for vegan food items is difficult. I used to agree. It was hard because, vegan alternatives weren't as readily available as they are now, and labelling wasn't clear. However, from 13th December 2014, the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (EU FIC) has made identifying allergens much easier. Of course, this means that shopping is easier and faster! In addition to this, supermarkets are raising their game in terms of providing vegan food items. So the barriers that existed are being melted away.

There are only a few 'Indian sweets' which I like and this is one of them. It's called Magaj in Gujarat and is known as Besan Ladoo in Maharashtra. The only difference between the two is that Magaj is usually cut in to squares and Besan Ladoo is moulded in a spheres.

I have often heard people say that eating vegan must be really restrictive and eating out would be even more horrendous.
For those of you who have been reading my reviews, you'll see that eating out is far from restrictive or difficult. In fact, I'm often surprised with the range of items on the menu that aren't marked vegan but are "vegan by accident."
