Rena used this recipe to make cherry chocolates slices which were delicious. We enjoyed them on their own, but they may also taste good with some vegan vanilla ice-cream too!

Following a plant-based or vegan lifestyle, is about food, drink, clothes, shoes, body treatments, hair products and more.
It's a conscious decision to think, walk and possibly, talk a better lifestyle.
I support individuals who are thinking about making the shift, as well as, those who have already begun their plant-based journey.

Read MoreWhen I was vegetarian, I enjoyed going to Cafés and ordering the 'traditional' English breakfast! Well...it was as close to traditional as it could be, without including any meat!
I wasn't a proper vegetarian then, so I did eat eggs! :/ Nevertheless, after going vegan, I often reminisced about those days and wanted to re-live the experience.
It was about more than the food, but the food was important! This was especially true when many Cafés didn't stock vegan sausages; so the breakfast wouldn't be a very filling one, or even close to 'traditional'!
For a while we stopped looking and asking, but things changed.
Read MoreI came across a post on BuzzFeed, which listed 21 unmissable vegan places in London. I had been to some of them but Bonnington Café was one of the ones I'd not eaten at.
My mission was to tick a few boxes in one go. This involved having a lovely meal, going somewhere I hadn't eaten before, time out with a friend and gain something that I can share with you.
I'm happy to say that all of the boxes were ticked!
Read MoreI hadn't been to Vegfest event before and I wasn't too sure what to expect.
You see, a few months ago, I attended the Vdelicious exhibition.
I was there for two reasons. One reason was to, try out and buy, some new products, and the other, was to support the Good Health Box team.
As I walked around as a customer, I was gutted! The stalls were placed on different coloured strips of carpet to show whether they provided vegetarian, vegan or meat products. Why was this a problem?
Read MoreSuraj's birthday was coming up. It wasn't one of the 'big ones' that people often celebrate, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to get the family together.
I decided to make it a surprise, which made it a little complicated, but it was so worth it! I feel so satisfied when I look back at the photos. There's one photo in particular, which captured the look on his face, when he walked in to the lounge and heard "surprise." That's my favourite one! You'll see it in the slideshow at the top of the post.

Suraj and I found out about the various pop ups in Granary Square a couple of months ago.
It was exciting to see that many of them catered for, or exclusively provided, vegan food.
We couldn't eat any more at the time, so of course, we said we'd go back. Another place to add to the list of places that I want to eat at!
It wasn't a Club Mexicana day when we were there, but I heard lots about it afterwards, and after seeing photos of their creations, I felt like I couldn't get there soon enough!
Read MoreMany people automatically think that vegans have a really hard time if they want to eat out. This is another example to show that it's not the case. In fact, it's the opposite!
Vegans are not restricted, eating out is not boring and we usually leave feeling chuffed about the meal we've had.
The options may be tailor made for us, they may be listed on the main menu or shown on a separate menu for vegans. Either way, the common experience is that our bellies are full at the end of the meal, so we leave with a smile on our faces.
Read MoreThe Jain Vegan group was set up by a group of individuals who were either exploring or following Jainism or Veganism or both.
They created a group on Yahoo, which has created a community for members who live all over the world. The members, just like the organisers, are either exploring or following Jainism, veganism or both.
Read MoreI'd like to introduce you to Liz.
Liz follows a plant-based diet. She runs, lifts weights, maintains her ideal weight and uses it to lift any negativity around her.
Many would immediately think 'How can she do that if she's vegan?!?' Yet, contrary to popular belief, it doesn't hold her back at all!
